Let the home games begin

On Sunday, the time will arrive for the Torrington Twisters to begin its 2008 home schedule. Torrington will host the Newport Gulls at 6 p.m. after a parade to Fuessenich Park.
The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. and will feature around 500 people, including 350 little leaguers from Thomaston. The Twisters were scheduled to open the season in North Adams, but the game was postponed until Monday, June 16.
