Twisters add another arm to pitching staff
The Torrington Twisters have added Auburn's Scott Shuman to their roster, according to the NECBL's Web site.
Shuman is scheduled to pitch the second game of a doubleheader with the Danbury Westerners tonight. Shuman is a sophomore right-handed pitcher from Valdosta, Ga.
Shuman pitched in 12 games for the Tigers this season (3 starts), going 2-2 with a 6.07 ERA. In 29.2 innings, Shuman gave up 24 runs (20 earned) on 27 hits, striking out 18 while walking 16. Batters hit .243 against Shuman this season.
